Precision Cutting Machine - Benchtop
Precision Cutting Machine - Benchtop
Metalitest supplies Precision cutting machines for use in metallographic sample preparation processes. They can be paired with diamond blades that have excellent hardness and wear resistance, allowing for fast and precise cutting of materials of various hardness. They can also be used with grinding wheels to significantly accelerate subsequent sample preparation.
Our MCLM-50 boasts precision movement in the X, Y, and Z axes; it can cut workpieces up to Ø50mm in size, suitable for testing requirements of various materials, including steel, iron, copper, titanium, aluminium, ceramics, fasteners, carbon fibre, etc.
Whether used in the automotive, aerospace, manufacturing industries, or research/educational institutions, it can provide efficient and accurate cutting results, ensuring high-quality samples for subsequent metallographic observation, hardness testing, and material analysis.
Features
Intuitive touch panel, easy operation
Intuitive touch panel with high-recognition graphics. Easy to operate and significantly reduces operation time.
Precision X, Y, and Z-axis movement
X-axis movement up to 200 mm for feed cutting.
Y-axis movement up to 80 mm for serial cutting.
Z-axis movement up to 50 mm with a height adjustment that helps reduce consumable usage based on cut-off wheel size.

Rotational speed
Cut-off wheel speed up to 5000 RPM. Combined with precise parameter control and our own cut-off wheels, it supports a wide range of material cutting.
Serial cutting
Optional horizontal movement allows equal or variable thickness cutting. Up to 4 slices with different thicknesses can be cut.

LED lighting
Bright LED lighting in the cutting chamber improves visibility during operation.
Laser alignment
Equipped with laser alignment to help users accurately position samples.

Note: All models available in standard and customised configurations.
Metalitest can help specify the sample preparation for your application, including material trials and application support at one of our UK Solution Centres.
